In this course, students will build a solid understanding of types of health and analyze the root causes that lead to various health outcomes while experiencing a rigorous curriculum that will prepare them for success in college and beyond. This course will also prepare them for college and careers in these fields of Mental and Behavioral Health, Public and Community Health, and Health Advocacy. Students will delve into analyzing and exploring mental and behavioral health issues in their community and will be prepared to use the skills and tools used in Mental and Behavioral Health to support families facing existing barriers to health.
